Very popular, chiefly because of its proximity to Lagos town centre but also because it is niceley sheltered from the prevailing wind. The beach is accessed from some steep steps that are cut into the sheer cliffs that form its backdrop and provide the shelter. During the summer season there are reserved sun loungers and shades for hire at one end of the beach. Good snorkelling around some of the rock formations that border or face the beach.
You can park your car at the top of the cliffs and from this point you can see all the way over to Meia Praia and the Alvor estuary. The Hotel Golfinho, the Mirante Restaurante Bar and some smaller concessions offer food and refreshments here.
