A popular and well maintained beach with a good restaurant / snack-bar. An excellent beach for beginner to medium surfers and also good for boogie-boarding fun. Life-guards are in attendance and the beach has a Bandeira Azul (Blue Flag) signifying the purity of the water and the cleanliness of the sand.
To find this beach drive into the centre of Vila do Bispo and then follow signs to the Praias. A newly laid tarmac road will wind its way coastwards until you come to a fork with signs pointing you right for Praia da Cordoma and left for Praia Castelejo. Lots of parking space and a gentle walk down to the beach.
