Local Radio Station based in Vila do Bispo and Lagos - Sagres FM 94.6 FM - this is what our radio is tuned to most of the time.

English Language Radio - Kiss FM Algarve 101.2 FM - lots of dance music.

Portuguese National Radio - Antena 1, 2 and 3 - Antena 1 is the Portuguese equivalent of BBC Radio 2, so you get news, sport and middle-of-the road music. Antena 2 hosts classical music and fado (Portugal's folk-music). Antena 3 (101.9 FM) is the equivalent of BBC Radio 1, so you get the latest rock, indie and dance tunes - lots of English and American bands with a smattering of Portuguese 'talent' (derivative and unimaginative in the main). Saturday night from midnight until the morning has some awesome house music DJs in the mix and is equal to anything Pete Tong's Essential Mix serves up back in the UK. Mercifully, they don't appear to broadcast much in the hip-hop / Rn'B genre that currently disfigures the UK music scene, although Portuguese / Brazilian rap is groovy - tuneful and lyrically adept.
